No parking is available onsite, or along Water Street. Please use Cruise Ship Terminal for parking – enter via Weymouth Street. Free parking is provided courtesy of the Charlottetown Harbour Authority.

April 21st DAY schedule

Timing chip pickup at HMCS.

 08:20 (approx)

Transport departs HMCS QUEEN CHARLOTTE for the Pownal start line. All transportation provided courtesy of Coach Atlantic. We prefer that all half-marathoners use the buses (see note about kit bags).

Kit bags and back packs with visible name tags may be left with volunteers at Pownal (no loose clothing please), and will be returned to finish line at HMCS QUEEN CHARLOTTE. DO NOT LEAVE KIT BAGS ON BUS.

Half-marathon starts from Pownal Sports Centre. (Racing wheelchairs and medal contenders will be placed in front, followed by other runners.)

Washrooms available inside Pownal Sports Centre prior to start of race. RCMP escort from Pownal to Stratford Bridge. Military sweep vehicle with paramedic embarked.

5K & 10K start from HMCS QUEEN CHARLOTTE for recreational walkers and non-racing wheelchairs.

Charlottetown Police Services will patrol route.

5K and 10K start from HMCS QUEEN CHARLOTTE. (Racing wheelchairs and medal contenders will be placed in front, followed by other runners.)

 09:30-11:45 (approx)

Southernmost lane of Hillsborough bridge (Charlottetown to Stratford) closed from Esso Corner to Water St.

PEI Gov highways & safety will sweep the bridge and close the lane for the safety of all WR3 half-marathoners, especially athletes with disabilities.
